If you're interested .......... denim has been used by the military across the world for well over a century. Thanks to it's hard wearing properties denim was primarily intended for 'dirty work' or carrying out non-combat duties where uniforms were deemed inappropriate. It's thought that the popularity of denim today may well stem from the influx of US servicemen after WWII wearing standard-issue Army or Navy working uniforms as casual wear.
